God?
Why is God the first word you see, not counting the menu heading, on your website?
Oh my goodness I am so glad you asked! That's because He is my God. He is first in all aspects of my life, that is when I am not failing Him - which I do every single day. He forgives my faithlessness because He is faithful even when I am not.
I feel like this discussion calls for some specificity. "God" can mean any number of things these days. The God I serve is a triune God with many names. He is the great I Am. He is the Alpha and the Omega. He is the beginning and the end. He is the good shepherd. You probably know Him by the name of Jesus. That is not Jesus the ascended master. That is not Christ consciousness of the new age. That is the one only true and living God.
My God came to this world in the form of His only begotten son. He came here for approximately 30 years of which He lived a life of sinless perfection, performing countless miracles. He died a death which left Him marred more than any other man on a Roman cross. He was the perfect sacrifice. He took my death sentence, all of our deserved death sentences. He rose again on the 3rd day. He later ascended to the right hand of the Father and one day will return for His church. This is the way, the truth, and the life and no man gets to the Father except through Him. My salvation is through His grace alone and nothing I ever did or will ever do contributed to it. It was a free gift! This is the key to salvation, and I will spend all of eternity praising Him for redeeming me.
He met me at my darkest and most depraved. I have committed all manner of detestable sins and yet He forgave me! As previously stated, I fail Him each and every day of our walk together, and each and every day that I seek Him in repentance He cleans me up and forgives me once again. He stands at the door and knocks, waiting for anyone who is willing to receive Him. There's a great library you can go to for more information. It is a library of only 66 books and it is called the Holy Bible. It is God breathed, composed by the Holy Spirit. The bible was written in a period of over 1600 years by 40 different men. Those men just so happened to be from 13 different countries and three different continents.
So yeah ... that is why the first word of my website (not in a menu heading) is "God." If you are seeking truth, pray to Him and ask Him with an open heart to reveal Himself to you. There is nothing in this fallen world that compares to a relationship with Jesus, friend!
